Network Marketing and Number One on the List

One concept commonly shared in the Network Marketing world , is that in order to be any good, to build an outstanding business, you need to touch the heart of the people.  You need to reach people and understand what they need, want, and why they want it.  How do you do that?  You do it by building trust, rapport, and relationship and in doing so you build legitimacy.

The Number One, most important piece of information or criteria to our prospects, potential partners, and fellow entrepreneurs is YOU.  Who you are?  Do they like you?  What makes you someone that they want to work with; someone they can count on?

Your prospects don’t  need or want a  lot of superfluous information.  They want to know you and trust you.  If you think about it, that makes perfect sense.  Why would anyone get into a business with someone they didn’t know, like, or want to know?  So how do we introduce ourselves in such a way that we are acutally sharing a little bit about us personally?

One way to do this is to visit the Social Networking sites.  Who would have thought, a few years ago, that this would be a way to brand/introduce ourselves?  It’s a perfect outlet.  We touch people where they are and can share in their hopes and dreams.  We can support one another and encourage success in business.  As we share on sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo, Hub Pages, etc.  We not only share a little about ourselves but we share with others also.  They see the “real” person behind the message and hopefully they see the humanity behind the dream.

One point I want to make that is extremely important.  If you think, for one minute, that you can go to these sites and create a facade.  A “fake” impression of you.   Think again, people are very smart and astute…they’ll see right through you.  When you do this you give yourself a bad name and MLM receives another chink in the iron.  Be real, let people know that they can trust you and your opportunity.

Now remember this is from the prospects perspective.  This is what they want to see first and foremost in a business partner and opportunity…so let’s start there.  Let them meet and greet who you are so that they see you first, then your opportunity.

To Your Success!
